Synopsis: Children of the Amazon follows Brazilian filmmaker Denise Zmekhol in your BR 364 road trip into the heart of the Amazon in search of Surui and Negarotê children that she had photographed 15 years before. It is a film about a journey, partly a time travel a journey that tells the story of what happened in the life of the planet's largest forest when the road cut their land.

About the director: Earlier in her career, Denise worked as cinematographer of news in San Francisco, and later as Associate Producer on the award winning documentary "Backwoods Of Memories". In addition to his film work, Denise has extensive experience as a photographer, having produced a photographic exhibition Children of the Amazon. Recently, Denise completed the film Children of the Amazon, on the destruction of the Amazon rainforest and hope for the future.
